INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gr lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped very fine
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped very fine
  • 2 tbsp onion puree
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped very fine
  • 1/2 tsp each salt, black pepper and cumin

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Mix by hand; make a patty and fry in Teflon skillet.

VARIATION

Chicken Burger Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gr ground chicken meat
  • 2 tbsp onion puree
  • 1 tbsp green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary leaves, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp sweet red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

1 Combine ingredients well, and fry in Teflon skillet, 4-5 minutes on each side. Serve as above.

TIPS AND NOTES

  • To assemble burgers, if you really want it to look like a classic hamburger:
  • 4 wholesome hamburger buns (check our bakery section for delicious wholesome recipes)
  • 4 lettuce leaves (check the different kinds of lettuces available)
  • 4 slices red onion (can also be white, brown and even green)
  • Sliced tomatoes (can be plum tomatoes, cherry tomatoes)
  • 1/4 cup soyanese or light mayonnaise, or tahini or avocado spread or skip the buns, and serve with a green salad.
