Substitute For Crème Fraîche

Crème fraîche is a tasty dairy product that can very easily be unavailable in the refrigerator when desperately needed. But then you can just as easily make your own by combining 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup whipping cream. Cover the mixture and let it rest at room temperature for about 4 hours. Cream will thicken during this time. It can be refrigerated for up to one week. Scroll below to see the nutrients and calories in Creme Fraiche.
