It is easily available in local fresh produce markets. It has a long branching stem with flowering shoots. Choose stems with tightly closed flower shoots and discard any larger outer leaves. Sprouting broccoli is popular in Mediterranean cooking. It may be sauteed, steamed and blanched. It has a mild taste.
